Intern, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Virtual, Part-time Position

 

As a DEI Intern, you will work with the Culture Transformation team on various projects.  Your efforts will have an impact on the workplace culture for clients in a number of industries and geographies. This is your chance to make a difference!   

 

Reporting to the Culture Transformation Leader (CTL), the essential responsibilities of this position include a mix of client service, project management, new client support, research, and data analytics.   

 

Are you currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, human resources, social justice, business or related field? If you are graduating Fall 2022 or Spring 2023, we have an excellent opportunity for highly motivated students who are ready to gain hands-on experience. 

 

  • Partner with the Culture Transformation Partner and Learning Experience Designer to design and create a comprehensive training facilitator program that will help scale training deployment to clients 
  • Design a logistical structure to deploy the training facilitator program for a variety of delivery methods (in person, hybrid, virtual) 
  • Develop resources and toolkits to support the success of facilitators

Culture Transformation Partner

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As a Culture Transformation Partner (CTP), you will provide exceptional guidance and advisory support to clients along the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) journey to build powerful workplace cultures.

 

Reporting to the Culture Transformation Leader (CTL), the essential responsibilities of this position include a mix of client service, project management and training facilitation.

 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of organizational data, policies, and practices.
  • Identify organizational strengths and opportunities to develop a strategic plan that enables our clients to mitigate risk, advance DEI and foster a culture of belonging.
  • Conduct employee listening sessions, analyze data, and curate strategic insights.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, virtually and in-person, across a variety of DEI topics.
  • Deliver exceptional client support to ensure engagement timelines are delivered with excellence in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain communications plans, project management reports, and client presentations using a keen attention to detail and quality.
  • Drive new client onboarding and integration using technology, procedures, and systems that support flawless execution.

Graphic Designer

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion


Joining our boutique firm as a Graphic Designer means you will have the opportunity to create compelling designs across digital and offline media focused on DEI and leadership development training solutions.

 

You will be responsible for developing high-impact illustrations, infographics, stylized font treatments, icons, animations, social media content and PowerPoint presentations. Using your creative genius, you will bring to life training and social media content that explores, deepens, and amplifies diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace cultures. The ideal candidate will serve as a “chief branding officer” by ensuring our brand voice, style, and tone are consistently embedded in everything we do.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create graphics and design layouts for training content (handouts, workbooks, job aides), videos, email newsletters, PowerPoint decks, websites, company collateral, blogs, and social media campaigns.
  • Create visual elements such as logos, icons, infographics, original images, and illustrations to help deliver a message.
  • Incorporate UI/UX best practices in website design and layout.
  • Assist with podcast and video production.


Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 3+ years professional graphic design experience using MAC OS and Adobe Creative Suite; design portfolio required.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design. Experience with video and podcast editing a plus.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with a positive attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related design/fine arts certification.

Instructional Designer

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Leadership Development Instructional Designer and Course Developer you will design, develop, and implement DEI and leadership focused training solutions.


You will be responsible for designing and developing learning content that explores, deepens, and amplifies diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace cultures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering a sense of community and belonging throughout the learning experience. While the primary focus of this role will be DEI education, you will also be responsible for creating broad-based leadership development content.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in designing and developing learning experiences, in roles such as instructional designer, learning experience designer, learning architect, or similar.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space, along with a passion for and awareness of macro and micro-level DEI topics such as systemic inequities and social power dynamics.


Are these competencies and skills your superpowers?

  • Skilled in eLearning and video/audio tools such as Adobe CC, Articulate 360/Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, Captivate, and/or InDesign.
  • Skilled in using learning management systems. Able to design to learning industry standards (SCORM/AICC/xAPI/etc.).
  • Skilled in survey and assessment design. Can evaluate learning programs at multiple levels.
  • Exceptional narrative and copywriting skills; knowledge of AP writing guidelines.
  • Skillful in building and maintaining collaborative and productive working relationships with subject-matter experts and colleagues.
  • English language proficiency in both spoken and written form; proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis methods, desired.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating, monitoring, and supporting new client sales and onboarding processes.
  • Developing and updating client engagement reports and project plans using project management software.
  • Designing and publishing website and social media content and monitoring digital analytics.
  • Creating and sending requests to clients to ensure that engagement timelines are met.
  • Drafting and distributing communication plans and other client materials.
  • Assembling and preparing materials for training sessions.
  • Tracking attendance for training sessions and sending pre- and post-communications to participants.

 

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of related experience in administrative, project coordination and/or client service handling a number of projects simultaneously.
  • Experience developing project timelines, checklists, and operating procedures with a strong ability to document procedures and guidelines.
  • A track record  of providing outstanding customer experiences that are friendly and solutions focused.
  • Exceptional skills in all Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience using Microsoft Project or other project management software is preferred.
  • Digital and social media marketing experience using MailChimp, Google Analytics, and website design tools. Knowledge of Adobe design tools and/or Canva is preferred.
