Our diversity journey began in 2021 when we initiated our partnership with KEIRUS BY KJE. We were looking to change our culture and move into culture transformation. Our DIB, diversity, inclusion and belonging, initiatives started 10 years prior with some grass root efforts. At the time, we did not have a solid direction or the support we needed to create a sustainable approach to shifting our environment. Without this needed alignment these initiatives slipped away. We needed a vision and the structure to support our DIB strategy which began to organically develop with our new CEO, Mitch Snyder. He is a servant leader at his core and sees things for what they could be and encourages us to lift each other up through the lens of compassion and humanity. He lives out one of our most important values. This new direction allowed us to leverage our partnership with KEIRUS BY KJE.

The Transformation Begins 

With KEIRUS BY KJE, we rebooted our DIB initiative with global listening sessions. We had low participation levels which validated that we needed a transformative, wholistic strategy. We kicked off our multi-year DIB strategy roadmap with KEIRUS BY KJE. They became our sounding board and helped us to create our strategy and develop our goals. We call these additions our culture strategies, which we refer to as our inside-out approach; we began to work on our internal and external reflection. KEIRUS BY KJE helped us to ensure our culture strategy complimented our DIB strategy.


Now, we are ready to step-up our efforts by launching a DIB Council and have a lot of momentum around this. We are excited to formally roll out our Power of We training with KEIRUS by KJE at the end of 2022 headed into 2023. We also want to work on workplace inclusivity while focusing on performance and succession planning. Another focus is our external marketing which we desire to amplify innovation by attracting, developing, and retaining highly diverse teams.


Outcomes

Our goal is not to exclude anyone as we create an inclusive culture. We are achieving this by continuing to grow our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) with executive leader sponsorships. So far, we have fifteen ERGs across the globe with two more in the pipeline. Our ERG and DIB teams report out bi-monthly to over 350 leaders in the business in a meeting with our CEO. Due to the growth of our diversity, equity and inclusion practices we are establishing a separate DIB budget as its own line item separate from HR.


We are excited to roll out more training to our Executive Leadership Team and employee base with the direction and content from KEIRUS BY KJE.  We are committed to the success of our DIB strategy and will not let it fail. We always want to give credit where it is due and our partnership with KEIRUS BY KJE has been an integral part of our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy growth and success.
